At Lone Star Healing Arts & Fitness, we offer manual therapy that provides the body with a unique opportunity to heal and restore itself. During a typical session, gentle pressure, approximately 5g, is used at the interface between bone, nerve, muscle tissue and fascia, to elicit increased blood flow, circulation and mobility to the body tissues. We have successfully treated carpal tunnel, sciatic nerve, migraine headaches, shoulder, knee, back, hip and foot injuries. We also work on the abdomen, providing visceral manipulation to restore optimal function to the gut. In addition, it is a wonderful therapy to maintain vibrant health, improve sleep and assist the nervous system with managing daily stress.

The history of this form of manual therapy goes back to the late 1800s and early 1900s, with osteopathic doctors Andrew Taylor Still, MD and Dr. William Sutherland. At Lone Star Healing Arts & Fitness, our practitioner has trained for a decade with the Upldedger and Barral Institutes founded by Dr. John Upledger and Dr. Jean-Pierre Barral, respectively. She is also a certified teaching assistant for the Neural Manipulation 1 course.

Feel free to book a free 10 minute phone consulation to find out if this unique approach to working with the body can help you.
